We are looking for candidates who are honest, outgoing, and have reliable transportation. We are looking for candidates that have experience hosting in a busy restaurant setting. The position requires being able to work weekends and Holidays. We are located in historic Ybor City on 7th Avenue and have been in operation for over 40 years.
In the Host Role at Carmine's we are looking for candidates who can keep an organized seating pace, keep track of tables sat, and communicate with the manager on duty when we need to go on a wait or any guest issues. Our ideal candidate must be a team player who can be organized, professional, and proactive. Our ideal candidate must be a people person and be able to connect with our guests and add to their overall dining experience.
Our schedule changes based on the season. Business needs during peak season has opportunity for more hours. Our busy season in Ybor begins in November. We have our holiday season from November - December. We then move into our parade season from January - March. Business begins to slow down from July - October.
We offer competitive earnings with weekly pay. Starting pay is based on your experience, commitment to the job, and what you bring to the table as an asset to our amazing team. We can discuss pay structure in person. Aside from weekly pay and tips we also have opportunities to earn income from special events, project days, and we offer employee discounts.
This is a hands-on position where you will be active during the duration of the shift. This is a job with opportunity to grow within the company and cross train into other positions such as serving, bartending, and management.
Below are some of the job duties that come with the Host position;
-Responsible for seating guests, keeping an organized seating pace, and coordinating daily reservations.
-Complete Opening and Closing duties.
-Answering phone calls, help in taking to-go orders, and diningroom maintenence.
-Keep an up to date, organized, and fair seating chart/rotation.
-Display good morals and good judgement.
-Display a strong sense of urgency.
-Have a proactive approach to shift and store needs.
-Maintain a good attitude and be professional in the workplace.
-communicate with manager on duty, serving staff, and kitchen.
-Ingage with customers to ensure a memorable guest experience.
-Handel a cash drawer and complete guest to-go and Uber transactions.
Below is the current weekly scheduled host shifs availible; (As busy season kicks in there will be more shift availible.)
-Monday 11am - 5pm
-Friday 11am - 4pm & 5pm - close
-Saturday 11am - 4pm & 5pm - close
-Sunday 11am - 4pm & 5pm - close
Our current store hours are;
-Monday & Tuesday 10am - 5pm
- Wednesday & Thursday 10am - 10pm
- Friday & Saturday 10am - 11pm
- Sunday 10am - 8pm
